Yifat is an Associate at aMoon Velocity. As part of the early-stage team, she supports and helps scientists and entrepreneurs fulfill their dream of providing treatments to life threatening diseases and the world’s biggest cost drivers. She began her career at aMoon as an Analyst. Having worked at the Fund for over three years, Yifat is passionate about bridging the gap between academic research and the HealthTech industry. What drives Yifat is the bigger picture of what aMoon is trying to achieve in the Israeli and global healthcare ecosystem.
Yifat earned her PhD from the Department of Neurobiology at Haifa University, where she specialized in neuroscience, focusing on biochemical pathways of learning and memory in Alzheimer's disease. Her work ultimately led to a spinout company via the Carmel Ltd., Technology Transfer Organization. She has published her work in numerous high impact scientific journals.
Yifat earned her MSc from the Weizmann Institute, where she specialized in Neuroimmunology. She earned her BSc (Magna Cum Laude) from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, which included study at Carnegie Mellon University.
