Nurit is the Chief Medical Officer at aMoon. She serves both the investment teams and the portfolio companies across the platform by providing insights and depth into all relevant medical aspects (assessment of the medical needs, current medical practices and gaps, epidemiology, target patient populations segmentation, safety, clinical development etc.).
As an experienced physician with over 20 years of clinical experience, Nurit understands that behind every new technology there is a patient waiting who could directly benefit from it. This belief is what drives her to continue bringing these innovations to market.
Nurit brings to aMoon 12 years of experience with Sanofi, initially as Medical Director of Sanofi Israel and then as a Senior Director at Sanofi’s Global R&D arm for External Innovation & Scouting. Nurit was also the Medical Lead at Sanofi for Global Established Products and Strategic Portfolio Enhancement. Prior to Sanofi, Nurit served over a decade as Senior Physician at Sheba Medical Center and Maccabi Health Services as a Specialist in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology, and as a Clinical and Research fellow at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland.
Nurit is a Board of Directors and Advisory Board member in several healthcare startups, publicly traded companies, hospitals, and organizations. She is also the initiator and lecturer of the “Advancing into the 21st Century Healthcare” course in the MD-MBA program at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Nurit earned her BSc and MD degrees at Ben Gurion University and her MBA at Kellogg Business School and the Tel Aviv University.
